Vous avez tenté 'X -configure' en tant que root ? ensuite, simplement
'mv /root/XF86Config.new /etc/X11/XF86Config' et changer quelques lignes
dans XF86Config,
	- option "xkbrules" "xfree86" (section "InputDevice" keyboard)
	- option "xkblayout" "fr" (idem)
	- option "zaxismapping" "4 5" (section "InputDevice" mouse)
	- defaultdepth 24 (section "Screen")
	- modes "1280x1024" ou "1024x768" (idem, sous Depth)
