hvm domus on netbsd-10 dom0 zvol

Hi,

I am trying to launch a hvm DomU from a zvol on a netbsd-10 Dom0, and it doesn't.

The zvol was created from a USB stick live system; I tried this with both a freebsd 13 and an arch linux installation.

Both installations are booting the respective kernel, then hang accessing the boot volume. Same while booting from an iso image with the zvol as second volume.

From the freebsd boot log:

[...]
xenbusb_front0: <Xen Frontend Devices> on xenstore0
xenbusb_add_device: Device device/suspend/event-channel ignored. State 6
xn0: <Virtual Network Interface> at device/vif/0 on xenbusb_front0
xn0: Ethernet address: 00:16:3e:5c:4b:11
xenbusb_back0: <Xen Backend Devices> on xenstore0
xenballoon0: <Xen Balloon Device> on xenstore0
xctrl0: <Xen Control Device> on xenstore0
xs_dev0: <Xenstore user-space device> on xenstore0
xn0: backend features: feature-sg
run_interrupt_driven_hooks: still waiting after 60 seconds for xenbusb_nop_confighook_cb run_interrupt_driven_hooks: still waiting after 120 seconds for xenbusb_nop_confighook_cb

- indefinitely, with unresponsive console. The Arch installation looks similar, but doesn't offer an easy serial console.

Booting from the image file on the Dom0 filesystem works just file.

Is this a known issue/should be send-pr'ed?

Cheerio,
Hauke
