There are two grant table versions, and I think NetBSD needs the older
one, more often than other OSes, and some dom0s out there only do v2.
But I am so far fuzzy on this.

Brian: I'll try to fold this in.  I'm sympathetic to NetBSD 5 even
though it is from a very long time ago.
