	hello.  thank you for the explanation.  It seems this problem might be explained by the
commit to xen/x86/xen_intr.c V1.31, which says that reading from curcpu is unstable if not
protected from kernel preemption.  It's also possible I'm seeing memory corruption on this
system; I just observed some other odd behavior on the domu, so the question isn't entirely
resolved.  With that said, I have a path forward in that I can apply the fix to xen_intr.c and
see if that addresses the issue, assuming I don't declare hardware failure before that gets
done.
