Yes, that is correct.

Unfortunately those are not supported by the hardware.  I can insert one into the server and it works fine, but the fans are constantly on 100%.  Since we have no driver for controlling the fans in HPE servers that i know of, this is not feasible - i can hear the server in all rooms of my house…
