Freezing Dom0
Dear all,
sorry this is maybe a trivial question.
I run around 10 servers running NetBSD 5 (RELEASE) as Dom0 and running CentOS
and NetBSD DomUs on top of that. This runs very very stable since month.
I have one Dom0 machine which freezes every about 2 weeks without anything
written to the kernel log. The machine ran VMware before, so I would nearly
exclude hardware related problems (of course one can never be sure).
I upgraded this machine to -current already (just in case this is something
which has already been fixed).
The only difference to the other machines is: it runs only one CentOS DomU and
this machine uses much more network resources (it has a Lustre file system
mounted which is heavily used).
I already increased the NMBCLUSTERS on the Dom0, as the kernel complained ones.
So what would be your advice to track down the reason for the freeze? Freeze
here means that the machine is completely unresponsive, the console is locked
and the network is not even ping-able.
Thanks for any advice
Torsten
