Re: Xen-3.3 build help

Dear Manuel,
   See details below of what I did. Am I wrong in thinking that:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-4/200809230002Z/amd64/binary/sets
has current for NetBSD-4 as of 9/23/2008?

You need to upgrade your userland too.
Thanks - had tried previously but I think my kernel was release not
current.
Ok here is what I did:
o grabbed all the sets from:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-4/200809230002Z/amd64/binary/sets

o also grabbed the daily kern-GENERIC.MP.tgz

o installed off of a 4.0 ISO distribution and installed sets from the
  NetBSD-daily
o moved unpacked the daily kern-GENERIC.MP to /netbsd -- rebooted.

o downloaded and installed current pkgsrc

(I think I have a current system as of 09/23/2008)

When I attempt to make xentools33 it complains that the kernel - NetBSD-4.0-STABLE is not compatable with xentools33.

I then:
o download and install current sources for sys, common, usr.bin
o build and install config
o config GENERIC, make depend, make and move netbsd / - reboot

When I attempt to make xentools33 I get an error about bash not being
found.
o build and install bash

When I attempt to make xentools33 I get:
====
ld -melf_i386 -r tcgbios.o tpm_drivers.o -o tcgbiosext.o
getconf: LFS_LDFLAGS: unknown variable
/usr/bin/ld: cannot open linker script file ldscritp/elf_i386.xr: No such file or directory
gmake[9]: *** [tcgbiosext.o] Error 1
....
=====
Will xentools3-hvm work with xentools33?

No, but xentools33 contains the HVM tools too.
Great!
