hmm,

Network works with ssh, nfs, smbfs, dhcp and ftp.
The onboard network chip is:

        re0 at pci0 dev 9 function 0: RealTek 8169S Single-chip Gigabit Ethernet

And the soundcard is an additional pci card (the onboard sound chip is not 
supported).
