Ok, this wasn't obvious at first, but you're trying to use a multicast MAC address as a unicast MAC address. [...] Also, xentools should really do sanity checks on MAC address input.
Thank you, now all is working perfectly!I just wanted to change the default MAC address provided in the howto and of course I picked the only nibble that could cause problems... I really didn't know the rules behind MAC addresses.
I agree that xentools should to sanity checks and complain about wrong addresses, this would indeed help people who generate them randomly.
