The boot messages from the install ISO do include these:

  [   1.1600030] WARNING: preposterous TOD clock time
  [   1.1600030] WARNING: using default initial time

But it's hardly obvious for the user what to do about it.  It would be
good if sysinst could ask the user to enter the date when this happens,
and as Martin said, on the testbed anita would answer the prompt.
