Yep. In the 6 hours running the build up to the point things started
to head into the weeds, you hopefully will notice from the Swap line in
"top" just how much swapping was ever done in that time, up to that point:
load averages: 1.00, 1.00, 1.00; up 0+05:59:38 15:02:45
19 processes: 1 runnable, 17 sleeping, 1 on CPU
CPU states: 0.0% user, 0.0% nice, 100% system, 0.0% interrupt, 0.0% idle
Memory: 225M Act, 110M Inact, 20M Exec, 54M File, 135M Free
Swap: 1024M Total, 1024M Free / Pools: 19M Used / Network:
Again, this was the last "top" output before that screen froze up.
Easy answer - zero swapping was ever done. With 512M of memory,
up to this point, this was the most memory that was in use.
