Hm. On real hardware (my 4000-90 for example) reboot works perfectly fine. However, it does make use of what information have been stored in NVRAM for what to boot, and how, and so on...

Accidentally I waited longer this time and something appeared.  But
that's stuck for minutes now while keeping the host at 100% CPU, so my
impatience did win...
