Doesn't work for me :(

I tried installing on my 4000/500A with local SCSI disk and the
installation went through smoothly but I get a kernel crash when I try
to boot the installed kernel (details below). I suspect a problem with
the DESQA card, it's reported as qe0 by the INSTALL kernel but qt0 by
the GENERIC kernel.

Hmm, looking back I see that I reported the same symptoms for 5.0_BETA
and 5.0_RC2 and that it was fixed by a patch from Havard Eidnes. I'll
try the same patch on 5.1.
