Considering the fact that the 11/7xx machines never supported booting 
from tape in the first place, that's no surprise. :-)

That is, VMB can't even boot from tape. There is no way to get the 
machine to even try booting from a tape.

But I didn't know we had problems with the bootblocks. What kind of 
problems are we talking about here?
