Does anyone on this list have a hard disk image I can try putting on 
a 
SCSI disk inside it?

if you have a second SCSI-Disk in the station it is easy to put the 
floppy image (boot.fs) on it. Boot VMS, download the image and do: 

mount /foreign DKA??? (put in the number of your second disk) 
copy boot.fs DKA??? 

You can then boot the disk. 

(it has the same effect like dd'ing the image on the disk) 

Unfortunetly i can't exactly remeber the commands, maybe you have to 
alter them slightly.
