A follow up. (And I still don't know why the GCC list dropped my other
ID.)
It turns out that the reason why they want to declare that blurb for
GCC for the VAX, is that there is currently no one that they know of,
actively maintaining it. Two of them even asked me. Me? I'm an
observer in this business.

Who maintains GCC for the NetBSD ports? I should think that the fellow
who maintains the one for NetBSD/VAX would be interested in this
issue.
