Hi!

Trying to netboot a (new to me) 4000VLC with NetBSD to serve as a fallback
machine in case one of my 3600's runs into trouble (VLC is nice and portable :)

I don't have a suitable CD-ROM drive for the VLC, so I wanted to boot it
from the network as I usually do with my other VAXen I install...

I have read about this problem, but have not seen any solution yet.. But
perhaps I'm blind and have missed something...

Using the MOP image in vax/installation/netboot/boot from the 1.6.2 distribution
fails with an SCB2INT. The MOP image from 1.5.3 boots fine, but fails to load
a 1.6.2 kernel as it claims to be an 'inappropriate file type' (I guess because
of ELF kernel that the 1.5 loader doesn't grok?)

So... Which MOP loader can load a 1.6 kernel?

Once I have that it's trivial to get NetBSD on the box...

Thanx!

								Bye, Arno.
