Every Cipher drive that I have ever seen was a Pertec.
...and I would believe that someone who has {storage?,overuse?}
problems with TK50's might also have problems with 9-tracks,
without changing the way the tapes are handled. Not meant to be
sarcastic, I mean, attics are too hot for tapes and cellars can be too
damp.
