Yeah, and there was a nice side-effect of pursuing a cross-compiled
build.  I was able to rather rapidly flush out a couple of build related
problems, which Matt Thomas quickly fixed.

Of course, it's been a couple of weeks so I'm not sure what surprises
lurk in the most recent -current.
