i hate to ask here, but the squid mailing list has been completely unhelpful
with this.

i have two squid proxies.  one in our exodus cage that has an interface on
the internet and an interface on our private network.  you cannot get
directly to the internet from the private network.

i have the internal proxy setup to use the exodus proxy as its parent, but
it still wants to resolve names.  i need it to ask the parent to do internet
dns resolution.

any ideas?
