Clarification: I should have said that booting a standard OPENVMS BOOT C=
DROM=20
works fine....

Booting NetBSD 1.6.1 fails with the "stray interrupt" every time.

Tim,

Did you ever get an answer to the "stray interrupt: vector 0x18, ipl 31"
problem?

I have a VAX 4000-600 w/KZQSA, SHAC DSSI, etc. and get exactly the same e=
rror
on booting NetBSD 1.6.1 on a SCSI CDROM - the "stray interrupt" message g=
oes
on infinitum...

If I boot a standard VAX BOOT CDROM, it boots just fine...

Cheers,
Lyle

I just picked it up!

I am new to the VAX 4000 series (have a couple of VAXStations
3100s), but it all seems to be in working order. Its currently
running VMS 5.5, although I can only find Standalone backup
system on it.

It has a KZQSA (Q-Bus SCSI) so I have been trying to boot
NetBSD 1.5.2 from CD-ROM, but having some problems, see below.

Is the KZQSA supported (I noticed the KFQSA is)?
or should I just netboot it.

Also the SHAC DSSI Disk controller is listed as both supported
and NOT supported on the Supported hardware page?

Any help greatly appreciated,
Tim.
