Thought for stirring up a sticky wicket, today....(:+}}...

Granted, we tend to think of NetBSD currentish type as
a "modern" os on ancient and true VAXentoyz, and,

... it is in the true VAXenspirit that we only have real
DECish terminal thingies thereupon attached to said
VAXentoyz, typically of VT100ish capability, and,

... it is often practical to use PeeCeeish emulator thingies
as terminal devices attached to our treasured VAXentoyz,
in the one true VT100 emulator mode, and,

... it is of modernish design that Install, being the one true
install script thingy, thus default to use, is not taking kindly
to installation via DECwriters and their printing terminal kind,
even tho a few Ludditeish types, such as myself might be,
at odd tymes, inclined to install via printing terminals, in
the wee hours, after sniffing too much VAXenexhaust air,

... and, it be constant pain to have to, upon first light after
a fresh install, ed forthe yon ttys file to modifyeth it to the
one true VT100 console, from the unknown soldier type,
knowing fully that ed be the one true friend of any Unixy
type geek,

...be it requested, respectfully, and with careful thought
aforehand, and malice towards none, that in the modern
era, we make the default ttys console a one true VT100
type, and gracefully lay to rest the old Unknown soldier
terminal type, and pay homage to his long years of
quiet service.....

Any thoughts on the matter?

Anyone really using anything other than a VT100 compatible
terminal device on VAXentoyz?

Anyone actually crazy enough to install on a printing terminal,
just for laughs?

Thanks

Respectfully, and seriously....but with tongue in cheek...
