The same for me. IBM drive slightly larger than 4 GB on a MV3100m95.
There was only one partition on the drive that occupyed the entire disk.
Often I got mysterious FS damage, fsck could not fix it and crashed with
a SIGILL (?) when I run it on that disk. The only way to get the disk
usable again was newfs. I used this disk for /usr/src, i.e. lots of smal
files with cvs update running accros them...=20
