On a lark, can the guts of a VS3100M38 be moved
into a VS3100M40 BA42B tall cabinet, to give the
M38 an upgrade to an M48?  My thought was to get
more internal device space in the M38 KA42B cpu
configuration.  That would give me about a 30%
speed increase and space for two additional
internal devices.  Is such a transposition likely
to work?  If the BA42B cases are basically the
same, I would think it should work.  Any thoughts
on the matter are appreciated.
