1) I think you mean D9.

2) There are two different D9 pinouts for DEC console cables,
one from before the PC-XT and one from after.  mv2000 is
before, and different from the PC pinout.  Alphas are after,
and the same as the PC. 

3) This subject was discussed here at great length not more than
a week or two ago.
