Tried it (before the network support) on a 4000/90. I did the installation
on an Alphastation 500/500 and attempted to boot the finished install on
the 4000/90. I sort of gave up after a "few" hours...

Sysinst worked on the 4000/90, though selecting different menu items took
10-20 seconds and the timezone selection was such a pain, even on the
alpha (flickering).

Simh on a 4000/90 was *THE* slowest vax I've ever seen.
