Hi!
I want to install my MV3100-96 by means of diskless setup, as booting from
NetBSD/vax-isoCD (and (even)OpenBSD 3.1 CD :-) ist not possible.
I've set up a DS5000/240 as a boot server (server and client under NetBSD
1.5.2).
The client (MV3196) shows the following:

The (client) kernel to boot is from: kern.tgz (Aug 20, 2001 - size:
736611) --> netbsd.vax (size: 1415418).
Same Problem with "netbsd.GENERIC.gz" (1.5.2).
MV3100-96 Config: 64MB, int-RZ26N (VMS 7.3), ext. "pizza box"
KA56-A V2.6, VMB 2.15
