Hi,

After getting my other Digital box working, I've tried again with
renewed confidence to get this VAXstation 4000/90 going. After the
advice from one of the posts, I checked the boot images I was using and
the checksums check out okay, still it won't netboot with the same
problem as before, (see my previous post regarding this machine).

As I understood it, the ISO image is bootable, so having burnt a copy on
CDR, I've hooked up a drive to the back of the machine and tried booting
from the CD:

-DKA400
>> NetBSD/vax boot [Aug 19 2001 05:57:49] <<
>> Press any key to abort autoboot 0
> boot
changing bootrpb.unit from 400 to 4
getdisklabel: no disk label
nfs_open: must mount first.
Boot failed: No such file or directory
> _

I've tried both block sizes on the CD drive, 512/2048 bytes, just in
case that made any difference, no joy. Tried two drives too.

Any ideas? Is there any other way to get the install started. I don't
have a floppy drive so that option is out. Is there any sort of
firmware issue with these machines? Here is where I assume my firmware
version is hiding:

>>> sh config

KA49-A V1.1-06B-V4.2
11-22-33-44-55-66
64MB
...

Any ideas appreciated

Matt
