Same machine, running NetBSD:

----Goblin.BQTnet.SE PING Statistics----
11039 packets transmitted, 11012 packets received, 0.2% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 3.842/5.703/4812.884/67.312 ms

However, it should be noted that I started a built of the kernel while
running NetBSD, and /usr/src is mounted through NFS, so I was generating a
lot more traffic than when running VMS.

Maybe I should setup some other sort of stress test. ping -f perhaps?
