Ok, I'm still on a steep learning curve on these machines after coming
from the wonderful world of Pee Cees to the even more wonderful, yet very
confusing world of Vax. I keep chanting Vax is my friend, Vax is my
friend. It seems to help

I am having a problem with my 4000/60 now. I'm running open vms 7.2 and
some sort of TCP/IP application is installed as well. Not sure what you
call it. Upon boot up it says TCP/IP is loaded and functioning, however
once logged into the gui of Open VMS the only thig I can ping is the
loopback. The tranceiver I have hooked up shows activity on recive, from
the rest of my network, but no transmit. The Vax's assigned address fails
as well. Looback works. I realize this is an unfairquestion, but where do
I start looking ? Throw the questions at me and I'm sure I can tell you
what it's doing or not doing, but I'm a bit inexperinced with all this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
