I have downloaded the ELF snapshot and would like to
install it to my newly acquired VLC. I don't have a
CD writer so I cannot make a bootable CD of the
snapshot, so I'm wondering if I can use a 1.5.2 CD to
'bootstrap' the install. I'm hoping to start the
install from the CD, and then do an FTP install of
the snapshot tarballs.

Is this going to work, or am I going to wasting my
time? I have already spent an entire day trying to
netboot the install, but without any success.
