i've got tape from someone asking me if i can restore data from it. it's
DDS-1 tape.
i found blocksizes (8k) and then restored 6 tape-files total.
3 first were 80 bytes each, then 72MB (which looks like dump) and then 2
80-byte files.
as this header files has "DECVMSBACKUP" text i think it's backup from VMS.
does anybody know program that can extract files from it?
or format of this dump file?
thank you very much! (and please respond privately, i'm not netbsd-vax
user)
small files look like this:
