I don't see how you get from the one to the other.

I've got a MicroVAX-II that is, as far as I can tell, fully supported.
It's not a VS4k, so the PROM issue doesn't apply, and it's got no
framebuffer, so the framebuffer issue doesn't apply.  How is it less
than fully supported?
