absolutely not. NetBSD is not going to work. No XMI no BI
no nothing. You should be able to do ULTRIX 4.1. I have
boot tape from Isildur, but I sent him the originals back.

I need to hold on to that tape because I want to boot my
uVAX II from TK50 into Ultrix. (PS: how do I get that
damn MFM harddrive low level formatted?)

I'm still struggling with getting *any* UNIX up on my 6400
before I can do anything about the XMI/BI support. Wanted
to work on this last summer, but it took me so long to
even get storage. Now I'm still fighting with the VMS
beast :-)
