I don't have my DEC module guide handy unfortunately so I don't know which 
part number you want, however lets consider your options:

The 4000/300 connects the DSSI drives internally via the back plane. This 
is "hard coded" to connect to one of the DSSI channels on the CPU. If you 
install a KFQSA, you _should_ bea ble to connect it to the front panel DSSI 
connector and create a "loop" the same drives will appear twice to the CPU, 
once as MSCP drives and once as DSSI drives. I've not tried this so I 
cannot say that I've seen it work, but both the DSSI bus and the DSSI 
drives support multiple masters talking to the bus.
