OK. The switch is not the problem. 
Hmmm. Exit the instal system, configure the interface by hand and try to
ping an other machine on the net...

Hehe. Think of a VAX 11/780 (The 1 VUP normal). Machines like that 
where serving xx simultaneous TTY users without a problem. 
That is the reason why I love VAXen.
