??? I got my last Alpha for free, a DEC3000. The company saved the
scrapping costs, and I am happy. And an AS200 4/166 cost me about
USD 120,- So if you look around, you'll find Alphas for free or next
to nothing. If you are interested more in usability that in "a VAX",
I suggest you go for an Alpha.

The big drawback: it's not a VAX :-)
