The 4000/105A is supported in -current and will be in 1.6, it won't be
supported in any 1.5 release version! Here is one of the rare kernels that
can make the owners of the 4000 VAXen (except VAXstation 4000/[69]0 and VLC=
)

The VAXstation 4000 owners should use distribution kernels, the VAX 4000
owners should use -current or my kernel, which runs very stable on my 105
since several weeks with the 1.5-userland. Ok, netstat doesn't work due to
userland<>kernel interface changes, but i'm just too lazy to compile the
userland :)
