MVS wasn't designed to host other OS's though.  That's VMs job.  It does
it REALLY well though.  My machine is running NetBSD (sort of) on one
LPAR, and VM on another with Linux, OS/390, and NetBSD (again, sort of) as
guests.  It's fast.
