Subject: rpc.bootparamd not working

Got the S3 switch set, got the serial console working, got rarpd working,
set up nfs, set up the filesystem, but bootparamd doesn't work:

lilith: {107} /usr/sbin/rpc.bootparamd -d
rpc.bootparamd: unable to register BOOTPARAMPROG version 1, udp

My /etc/bootparams file:
#/etc/bootparams
vax root=lilith:/export/client/root

vax is my VAX, of course (192.168.1.55), and lilith is my boot server
(192.168.1.77, Amiga running NetBSD 1.5.1-BETA built on 10-May-2001)

What I get:

.
  83 BOOT SYS
 .
-ESA0
>> NetBSD/vax boot [Nov 17 2000 07:23:42] <<
>> Press any key to abort autoboot 0

Help! What can I try next?
