It is basically a dedicated SNA Gateway node.
It should be a variant of a KA650/KA655
based node which loads whatever SNA
software it needs. It has a special interface
to talk directly to some sort of IBM channel.
I've seen one once and it looked quite snazzy
at the time.

It's a higher speed version of the DEMSA
running the SNA Gateway code.
