it's a beutiful display.  although it's only red.

so, i'm hoping someone here can help me fix it.  i'm asking here since this is
where i expect people to be familiar with this monitor, no in port-sparc or
a sun mailing list since this isn't a Sun monitor even though i've got it hooked
up to a sparc20

doesn't matter if i use the SX or the GX, it still acts the same way:

13w3 <-> DB15 [VGA/PC STYLE] adapter
DB15 <-> DB15 cable
plugged into the DB15 connector on the back.

i was really hoping to find a 13w3 <-> BNC adapter, but i don't want to shell
out the $85 for one from midrange solutions.  assuming that would even help.

when i plunk degauss i can see all the colors, but otherwise it just sits red.
could it be the DB15 connector is flakey? or a combo of the 13w3 <-> DB15 thing
i've got it plugged into?  or could it simply be misconfigured?  i tried messing
with the color setting, but i'm gonna have to find an online manual since i 
don't seem to be smart enough to use the monitor controls.

ps: is it worth-while to invest in a 13w3 <-> DNC adapter for this thing for
quality since DB15 cables are so skinny and un-shielded.  also, what would be
better? 3BNC, 4BNC or 5BNC?  looks like the monitor can do all three.
