When I got my first vax (MV3100/m10e) back in December - it had 4M of
RAM. It was a *REAL* bastard to get it installed - ended up doing
allsorts, making swap by hand on a spare HDD, then installing. Once
installed, it *would* boot with GERNIC, but I never left it long enough to
get to the login promt - it took something around 6 hours to boot :&(

8M is much more usable. Someone on the list was very kind and sent me a
couple of 4M cards (even tho you can only put one in at once). Bob was
kind enough to send me another 12M (thanks bob! package arrived the other
day and all works fine) so I have a couple of 4M cards going spare if
anyone's intrested. (they say 5419051-AA 5019050-01 A1-P2 on the end) I
don't know what boxen will take these - I'm presuking
MicroVax3100/VaxStation3100.
