Hi,
The RA81 of my 11/750 finally went belly-up and I want to replace it
with a RA70 I removed from a VS3500. But the RA70 needs a button panel
with write protect and port select buttons. I tried the one that was
in the VS3500 but that didn't work, the fault light was on all the
time and the drive didn't spin up, even when I provided 5 volts to the
panel. The problem probably was that the VS3500 panel also is used to
provide some buttons and lights for the CPU and therefore the panel
needs the cpu to work.

How can I use a RA70 drive standalone? Is there a schematic available
for a replacement panel? I just want port 1 to be selected and the
drive to spin up.
Kees.
