spoke too soon yet again.  turns out the guy was right, the one machine _DID_
have 64MB, and it is this one:

i'm a happy camper, between all this cool ass VAX hardware and that sweet
looking RAID gig, the torture i have put myself through over the last two
days has definitely been worth it.

ok, and there is just something immensly cool about owning a 10KVA UPS.  can't
use it cause it weighs to much, but that's this house, next move will take the
UPS into consideration.  easy basement access, put the whole entire computer
room on UPS power.
