Hi again...

ok, seems to be a very quiet weekend up to now. No downloads of the test
kernel with 4000/400 support. So here comes the next step:

ftp://ftp.unixiron.homeip.net/pub/NetBSD-vax-1.5/

contains the newest kernel, tested, cache-enabled (i hope), and the patches
to accomplish this for the standard 1.5-distribution tree.

Please try this on 4000/400, 4000/500, and if someone out there has a higher
machine... maybe 4000/600 also works... even 4000/700 could :) If i get some
positive results here, the patches may go into the source tree. VAX 4000/400
is tested and runs very stable, i just built the whole kernel on my machine
here, the time is not that fantastic, it took 120 minutes. The VS4k90 needs
about 75 minutes for a complete kernel build.

so... just try it out. (If it runs on 4000/500, i would be interested in the
result of a "time make depend netbsd" in the kernel tree for the GENERIC
kernel)
