Depends a bit on the controller but generally the answer is yes you can.
You may run into problems if you try to put a more than 8GB disk on the
controller. There are three things that older controllers suffer from:
1) They use only SCSI 1 commands and are limited to
drives of < 1GB
2) They need to have drive locations "configured" before
they recognize them.
3) They don't understand removable media drives (ie CD-ROMS)
As the 4000/200 is fairly "new" generally #1 won't be a problem. You can
avoid #2 by putting your new drive on as ID 0 like your current drive,
however if you have a way to put two drives on to the SCSI chain try that
and see if the controller "just works." The third one you won't know until
you try to use a SCSI CD-ROM with the controller.
