Even if Solaris's implementation is better, a recent PC with Ultra/66 IDE
disks and NetBSD will give you better performances.

I'm even sure that, at equal price, an alpha running NetBSD will be better
than a sparc running solaris (alpha is cheaper, so you'll have better
gardware for the same price).
