To explain further: Thanks to hints dropped earlier by other listmembers,
I went and burned a 1.5/VAX CD-R from the ISO images provided on
ftp.netbsd.org. I'm pleased to report that installing from the resultant CD
worked like a champ, and I now have a functional VAXServer 3100.

This is a Good Thing because I thought for sure I was going to have to
netboot the silly box if I ever expected to use it. Not any more! My next
attempts at CD creation will be for the SPARC, ARC, and Alpha ports.

My deepest thanks go to those who made the ISO images possible and
available. Please keep it up! ;-)
