I have a Seagate ST-251 (RD32) that I'm trying to format in my uVAX-II
just for kicks, except MDM doesn't have the parameters built-in, and MDM
is asking me questions I don't know the answers to, like gap size, sync
size, and various MSCP settings.  I haven't been able to format the disc
successfully.  the light comes and stays on, but the drive doesn't make
any noise.  I've let it sit for over an hour, but nothing appears to be
happening.  in comparison, formatting an RD53 makes nice kerchunka
noises and blinks its light.
